Manual Handling Training for Healthcare

Our Manual Handling Training is a hands-on workshop designed to equip aged care workers, nurses, support staff, and domestic carers with the practical skills and knowledge needed to carry out manual handling tasks safely and confidently in the workplace across Aged Care, Home Care and Disability industry.

Training Location: Level 1, 12 Newcastle Street, Perth WA 6000.

This course includes identifying risky manual tasks, practicing safe handling techniques, using hoists and slide sheets, assisting with walking, transferring between bed and chair, managing falls, and adhering to mobility care plans.

Who Can Benefit

Our Manual Handling Training prepares Aged Care, Disability and Homecare professionals or carers to conduct manual handling tasks safely.

This course is suitable for:

  • Carers or Assistant in Nursing (AINs)
  • Registered Nurses and enrolled nurses working in residential aged care
  • Home care workers
  • Disability support workers
  • Cleaning and maintenance staff

 

Evidence of Completion: Certificate of Completion will be issued by email

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This training involves physical activities that may pose health and safety risks. Participants unable to meet the physical requirements of the assessment tasks will not receive a Certificate of Completion.
