Aroha College has identified an opportunity in delivering HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in education and care setting. The delivery of the training will support the local community with increasing their confidence that staff in an education and care setting are trained in first aid in case of emergencies.
The typical student for HLTAID012-Provide First Aid will be existing working personnel in the early childhood education and care setting, school-based services, family day care service, creche workers, parents/parents to be/grandparents or school leavers who are 16 years old or above.
Aroha College target clients are those entering the early childhood education and care setting, existing workers with over 3 years’ experience who need to renew their first aid qualification in the industry. They will be taking the course to either upgrade their skills and knowledge or as part of their job requirements. The year 12 graduates who will enrol in this course will gain the first aid knowledge and skills to obtain job opportunities in the workplace.
Aroha College have invested to establish a great learning environment, and our qualified trainers who are experts in early childhood education and care, healthcare and emergency sector will work alongside the students to understand their training needs and provide support to them to complete the course successfully.

Upon successful completion, students may obtain credit towards their qualification in CHC30121 or may also continue their studies through enrolment in:
– CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
Alternatively, student may enter the workforce in roles such as:
– Early Childhood Educator
